DISTRIBUTION FOR 1 VACCINE AT REFRIGERATED TEMPERATURE |
Distribution
to pharmacy and to particular domicile of 1 injectable vaccine during 12 months
of the year.
The packaging solution has to support the strict temperature between 2° and 8°C for 24 hours in extreme summer conditions (30°C for 24 hours) and as well in winter conditions.
The solution must be light, of minimal volume, of easy assembly and opening.

The
developed solution tested and qualified in the laboratory of Kern Frio consists
of a combination of:
- Insulated box Lipbox designed according to the dimensions of the primary packaging of the vaccine and personalized with double wall in order to guarantee major isolation and automatic closing to facilitate its assembly and easy opening.
- Flexible Ice Blankets placed around the product in order to provide thermal stability and avoid freezing.
- Cold packs refrigerated in order to change phase and to stabilize the temperature at around 4°C.
- Insulated box Lipbox designed according to the dimensions of the primary packaging of the vaccine and personalized with double wall in order to guarantee major isolation and automatic closing to facilitate its assembly and easy opening.
- Flexible Ice Blankets placed around the product in order to provide thermal stability and avoid freezing.

DISTANCE TRANSPORT OF MEDICINES IN EXTREME CONDITIONS |
The product with 45 liters of volume must support temperature between 2° and 8°C during the transport of more than 90 hours in the both, winter and summer profile in two different continents. The challenge is in the fact that the product cannot freeze in the winter temperatures and simultaneously be exposed to the extreme summer temperatures.

- Insulated container Lipcontainer with 40 mm wall to assure the isolation and to support constant conditions inside of the packaging.
- Cold packs with high calorific potency offer the possibility to maintain the product refrigerated during the part of transport in the winter temperature and to bring the sufficient cold in the summer conditions.
- Flexible Ice Blankets accompanied with Flexible Ice packs and bubble role provide protection from sudden temperature changes.
DELIVERY
OF VIALS WITH BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES AT TEMPERATURE BELOW 8°C |
The
client required a maximum 24 hour transport of vials with biological samples
(blood analysis). The samples are delivered from the centers of extraction
to laboratory through conventional transport. Temperature of the samples has
to stay below 8°C within the constant ambient temperature of 20°C,
there is no sensibility to freezing of the product.

The
solution demanded high protection of the goods during the transport. The composition
is the following:
- Termovial, the secondary packaging P650 (95kPa), behaves as a cold pack and gives the calorific as well as physical protection to the vials.
- The foldable Insulated box P650 offers maximum protection and insulation to the biological samples in accordance with the regulation in force.

DISTRIBUTIONS
OF FROZEN PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS IN EXTREME SUMMER TEMPERATURE |
Client
needs to transport frozen pharmaceutical products in summer temperature of
+35°C during a minimum of 48 hours. The temperature of the product cannot
exceed -18°C during the whole transport.
The requirement is to replace the current use of dry ice which is being considered a dangerous goods in the air transport.

Based
on the client´s requirements, laboratory of Kern Frio has developed
and validated solution with the following composition:
- Insulated container Lipcontainer with 60 (+5) mm wall designed on measurement to the dimensions of the primary packaging of the pharmaceuticals. The wall thickness assures high insulation of the frozen product.
- Frozen packs -21°C maintain the temperature at -21°C during all the phase change and provide autonomy of up to 48 hours of transport.
- Insulated container Lipcontainer with 60 (+5) mm wall designed on measurement to the dimensions of the primary packaging of the pharmaceuticals. The wall thickness assures high insulation of the frozen product.
- Frozen packs -21°C maintain the temperature at -21°C during all the phase change and provide autonomy of up to 48 hours of transport.
RECURRENT

The temperature during the transport has to be maintained between 2° and 8°C for 120 hours in extreme ambient conditions with sudden changes of temperature.

solution that corresponds with the high demanding requirement on protection
of the dangerous goods during the long distance transport:
- The reusable container Kodiak ATA R36 is validated and approved for every load and product type, without batteries or electricity or cold packs, it maintains and regulates the temperature inside of the container between 2° and 8°C during the whole transport eliminating the impact of external temperature changes. It incorporates açthe Electronic data logger that registers the interior temperature of the product as well as the ambient temperature.
- Homologated interior packaging Seguribox specialised for dangerous goods to protect the product during the delivery and anterior and posterior manipulation.
